What is Beyond?
Beyond is a pan-European investor community aiming to support early-stage startups and bring them to seed rounds with quality international investors. It is a collaboration between European accelerators and VC investors to create fluid capital flow and faster internationalization of early-stage startups.
 
What do you get as a startup by joining Beyond?
We invest directly 50.000€ in a convertible loan (not asking for equity) and support you to raise 150.000€ in syndication from our curated network of international investors. We take you on the journey to 500.000€ in seed investment from quality investors. Beyond money, you get strong mentorship support, marketing, and growth coverage from a team of experts.
 
You get Beyond money support- INVESTMENT PROGRAM:

1. 10 weeks of Investment program. It is important to us for you to get a seed round with quality investors in it. Therefore we spend all our efforts on building the proof you need to raise capital.
2. Ongoing and never ending access to Beyond community activities. The Beyond community activities will take place throughout the year. They include:
   • Access to our investor insight database. Our own database of investors and secrets about them. We make sure to find the most relevant seed investor for you.
   • Beyond mentor talks. Live interview and Q&A with mentors. And solving your current problems/milestones.
   • Mastermind sessions. Peer to peer founder sparring.
   • Portfolio Meetups. Meet the other startups in the portfolio and share learnings and contacts.

Do we take a board seat after we raise a seed round?
No — we are there to support you every step of raising your seed round, but let the seed VCs take the lead afterwards.
 
Are the terms negotiable?
No. There are many accelerators, and VCs included. With this, we are protected to have a transparent process both for investors and startups.. On the good side — this is what allows us to make fast investment decisions.
 
Do we apply to the investment program separately?
Nope. You are assured a place in the investment program after you receive an investment from Beyond. We run 2 batches per year and you choose the one that fits you the best timing wise.
 
Is the investment program online or offline?
Hybrid! Some events will take place online, and some in-person in Copenhagen, Madrid, or Sofia.

From September 25th to November 17th, 2023, companies will be able to present their startup through the official application form. To complete and submit the application form, one of the members of the startup must sign up on this platform using his or her personal details.

The BEYOND partners will review each application to select the startups that fit the following criteria: market growth, solution provided, achievements, growth and why the startup needs BEYOND. Up top 10 startups will be invited to join the program.

Begin the journey of having the perfect presentation for an investor and start collecting the collateral needed to enter our VAM.

Testing the pitch, the proof and the original thesis on investors and use this to get feedback to fine-tune even more.

Nailing the Dealroom: get the collateral ready for the deal room and raise funding.

The selected startups will have a two-day onboarding session to help them understand the next steps into the BEYOND program.

Startups will have the opportunity to meet the investors in the BEYOND ecosystem and pitch their solutions in an event.
